During Year 4's Monks Day at Ely Cathedral  during “Going Green” week, we became Tudor monks for a day.

It was a hard life as monks had to pray 7 times a day, the first at 2 o’clock in the morning!

We sampled their simple meals of potage, fruit and bread and found out about the jobs they did in a typical day.

We decided that we were glad to live in 2010!
