In these photos you see some of the design shapes marked out in wool on the field.
We have used our knowledge of metres and area to create our ‘ideal’ pool and cool garden.
Unfortunately we’re only at the design stage.

On Monday, the first ‘Going Green’ day I walked into school with a big grin on my face – I was really excited! In the afternoon I enjoyed my miniature garden.
On Tuesday we split into our family groups. In my group we each had a buddy – older partnered with younger, younger with older. I was with a year 1, Evie. Together we: made a mini scarecrow, played dress the scarecrow on the computer and made the neck for our class’s scarecrow, it was fantastic!
As part of our ‘Going Green’ week Year 3 have been busy mapping the allotment. We have been thinking about scale and shapes so that we can record what we’ve grown on a map.
Why do we need to record what we’ve grown?
