On Monday 8th February, as part of their study of the Second World War, Year 5 are due to visit the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.
We are so looking forward to the day, but in the meantime we can prepare ourselves by finding out a bit about the site and what it contains.
For a start, you could visit the IWM's own website, then check out Wikipedia for information on Duxford Aerodrome during World War 2.
Quiz question: who was Douglas Bader, and what was 'The Big Wing'?
This is some site information for those parents coming with us on Monday.

Did you know that Duxford is also home to the American Air Museum?
To quote from the website:
"The American Air Museum in Britain stands as a memorial to the 30,000 American airmen who gave their lives flying from UK bases in defence of liberty during the Second World War..."
