duxfordOn Monday 8th February, as part of their study of the Second World War, Year 5 are due to visit the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

We are so looking forward to the day, but in the meantime we can prepare ourselves by finding out a bit about the site and what it contains.

For a start, you could visit the IWM's own website, then check out Wikipedia for information on Duxford Aerodrome during World War 2.

"The American Air Museum in Britain stands as a memorial to the 30,000 American airmen who gave their lives flying from UK bases in defence of liberty during the Second World War..."
