Big Skeleton, Little Skeleton and Dog Skelton were not eating a healthy diet, so Year 1 decided to share their healthy eating habits by making them a fruit salad.

In the first half of the Autumn term 2009, we read the Funnybones books to inspire our writing. We then mixed up our science, art and design technology.... to find good reasons to write.

We wrote stories about losing things; poems about our senses; riddles about fruit; instructions for making fruit salad; captions and labels for diagrams and photographs.

To link our writing and ICT, we used the easi-speak microphones to record our attempts at writing.
